Dr Paul Thomas is a UK-trained General Practitioner with a particular interest in men’s health, urology and whole-person care, with an emphasis on face-to-face, evidence-based and personalised consultations.
He completed his medical training at the University of Nottingham, receiving the Pickering Association Prize for his undergraduate achievement, then undertook the Academic Foundation Programme in the East Midlands and published original research in general surgery.
He went on to complete Core Surgical Training, developing experience in urology, general surgery and trauma, before retraining as a GP in Oxford to provide broader, whole-person care. He combines his work at Oxfordshire Men’s Health with his role as an NHS GP.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Thomas is Research Lead at The Abingdon Surgery and serves on the Advisory Board of TrialChoices, a UK clinical-trial recruitment organisation working with primary care.
Oxfordshire Men’s Health has been developed to give men more time to discuss sensitive symptoms, understand the possible causes and consider appropriate evidence-based options, with clear explanations at every step.
Outside work, he enjoys exploring new food, spending time with his growing family and following Welsh rugby.
